The “Bela Cup” soccer tournament

The “Bela Cup” soccer tournament has been held in Grodno, Belarus on 15-20 May 2010.

The 2nd men and women teams of the Special Olympic Azerbaijan participated here. The results were as follows:

In finals and semi-finals, the 2nd men team in the first-strong division lost to Russia’s 1st and 2nd teams by 0:5 and 0:3 respectively. Then, our team started its winning series and has got the bronze medals of the tournament after Belarus – 2:0 and Estonia – 2:1 games.

In finals and semi-finals, the 2nd women team in the first-strong division lost to Russia and Denmark by 0:8 and 1:5 respectively. Nevertheless, due to the results of subsequent Lithuania (3:1) and Belarus (2:1) matches, out team has got the bronze medals of the tournament.

We would like to mention that currently our 1st men team has a camp period for the “Gothia Cup” in Sweden, July 15-20.
