Gender equality and access to sexual and reproductive health rights and services are extremely important for women and youth with special needs. One of the most effective ways to achieve this is to empower these people to participate in decision-making, design, implementation and oversight processes through a variety of inclusive activities. One of the main topics of discussion is the integration of people with special needs into society through the training "No one is left out: providing rights and choices for women and youth with special needs", held in Istanbul, Turkey. The panel session on the best practices of the countries in the region presented information on the work done in Azerbaijan, Ukraine and Moldova. Since last year, Special Olympics Azerbaijan and the Representation UN Population Fund in Azerbaijan have been implementing a joint project to empower girls with special needs through inclusive football and inform gender-based violence.
