According to the calendar plan of sports events from 02 to 30th of April 2019, Special Olympics Azerbaijan Republican selection competitions held on 9 sports during the spring season.Republican competitions on basketball (boys), basketball (girls), handball (girls), football ( boys), football (girls), volleyball (boys), volleyball (girls), badminton and powerlifting are selective charater of International Competitions which will be held in 2020.   About 1500 athletes from Baku and Absheron regions orphanages , auxiliary and special boarding schools, as well as teams from Ganja, Sumgayit, Shaki and Goychay Regional Programs have participated in Special Olympics Azerbaijan competitions.
